Ava's breaths were quick and shallow, her eyelids half shut.
Everything was dark, and her lids were so heavy... What if she just let them fall...? No, no... Everything was heavy... Her fingers felt like dead weights, pulling down her body as if she there were cinder blocks attached to her hands.
I told you... I told you you don't think things through... a garbled thought came through. Think what through...? What happened...?
Aaron.
Ava felt herself tip sideways. No! Stay awake! Open your stupid eyes! But the darkness was so nice... So cool... Welcoming... What if it was only for a moment...? She staggered, but shook her head. She fought to pry her eyelids open. She blinked once, twice.
Aaron.
"That..." she slurred in between short breaths, "Was f**king sick,"

Aaron hesitated. "You're dizzy. You have no f***ing what you're talking about."
He bent down onto his knees and frowned at her. "Yeah, I'm getting you home." He didn't trust himself enough to pick her up--but then again, he couldn't leave her here anyway. He picked her up easily. To him, she was just a ragdoll. Metaphorically, of course.
"You're the craziest girl I've ever met." And that's saying something; I've met a lot of crazy girls.

"Mmm... And you're the sexiest guy I've ever met," she mumbled, burrowing into his chest - animal instinct.
Animal... Animal... There was something about animal... Animal blood... Small... Something... Oh, it hurts to think... she gave up all too quickly, eyes closing again. Maybe now she could rest... The darkness was there again... Still cool, still welcoming... It was only sleep... Yeah, she could definitely... Hello there, Darkness...
