>>> Bella felt like she was holding her breath.
She couldn't believe why she was here.
If you asked her a few months ago, would you be on a date with Jasper, she would've stared at you like you just suggusted martians landed on Earth.
She twirled a long strand of hair, a little nervously.

Jasper:
Nervous. Anticipation.
Jasper saw Bella just outside the diner and appeared by her side, smiling softy.
She was oh so very beautiful, not to mention sweet and kind. She was perfect.
"Hey," he greeted, flashing a smile.
---
Ava:
She walked slowly, looking down at the dirty sidewalk ad she approached Slim Jim's Diner.
Nervous did not describe how the Switcher was feeling.
Her hands were literally shaking as she stuffed them into her jacket pockets.
Was he actually going to show? If he did, what would they talk about? Would she still swoon over his utter sexiness?
One main question pounded into her head:
Would he actually show? It repeated every two questions. Would he show?!

>>> By now, Bella was used to how quickly vampires could appear. By now, it didn't phase her like it used to.
He was smiling, and didn't appear to be nervous at all. Damn vampires and their stupid immortal abilities to look perfect, she thought.
"Are you sure you wanna go inside? I mean, there's nothing on their menu that could tempt you." Something on a cheesy diner's menu that could tempt Jasper? Now that was funny. Bella didn't even know if vampires ate human food.
>>> Aaron appeared, not earlier, not late.
"Hey," He said, slightly breathlessly. He had to give the other spies and hunters the slip before coming here.
Aaron and Ava were a little ways away from Jasper and Bella; and the half-vampire didn't even spot the couple.

Ava jumped, surprised. As she met his eyes, she felt that jolt that went through her--a jolt of familiarity, that she knew him from somewhere. But she simply pushed it away and smiled.
"Hey," she said, "Were you running late or something?" she teased.
Her heart fluttered. Oh, he was just so cute!
---
Jasper chuckled.
"You sure you're not hungry?" he asked.
What if she is? he fretted, What if she's just trying to be nice and she doesn't want me to feel bad? How does she feel? What is she thinking?

>>> "Yeah, kind of. I had some annoying siblings to put away before I came."
The comment was partially true, except the people he had to give excuses to weren't exactly his siblings. Well, they were blood related siblings anyway.
"Let's go inside," He suggusted.
>>> "I'm okay." Wow, really smooth answer Bella. "I'm okay.
Sheesh, he could probably smell the nervousness off her; literally, of course.
Some guy walked by and bumped into her. She was getting a little feverish standing outside the diner. Plus, it didn't help that there were a bunch of cuddling couples at the tables outside.

"Okay then," Jasper shrugged, "You wanna go for a walk then? It is pretty crowded,"
The resturant was nearly packed, but it didn't yet have a line. He would've never known if it was good or not anywho.
---
"Sure," Ava said nervously.
As they walked into Slim Jim's, Ava queried curiously, "You have siblings?"
In their few conversations, she realized, they had never once talked about family.

BTW, I was going to ask you earlier (but I forgot...), could you change Damien's pic on Myths? The picture is so vampire-ish and Damien's not a vampire...like, change it to Jasper's pic, it's kind of hot. Pwease? -kidincandystoreeyes-
>>> "Not blood-related. They're metaphorically my siblings." He replied, smoothly and honestly.
If you saw one of the other scientists he called 'siblings', you would know automatically that they weren't really related. They weren't even the same species.
They grabbed a booth in the back of the rather crowded diner.
>>> "A walk sounds good." (okay, walkywalkywalkyawkwardmomentswalk)

"So, you all are adopted?" she asked, By... Humans?"
Like a family? Would they rescue her from that dreaded orphanage?
---
"Okay," he began walking down the street. Subtly, he took her hand as they walked.

>>> "Well...yeah, I guess you could say adopted."
In truth, adopted was the wrong word to use. There was a little pang in Aaron's stomach. Most of the stuff he told Ava was lies.
"But, adopt isn't really the word that comes to mind." He tacked on the last bit out of guilty conscience. He carefully steered the conversation away, "What about you? Any annoying siblings?"

Ava ignored his obvious lie--she was already under his spell.
She was a helpless mouse trapped under the claws of a cat that liked it. A lot. Oh, she was so screwed.
"Nope, none for me," she smiled softly, "I live in the orphanage on the other side of town--in one year, I'll be out!"
"Hello, my name's Vanessa, I'll be waiting on you today! Anything you'd like to order right now?" a pretty waitress said cheerfully.
"Um, uh... You ready?" she asked Aaron.
Would he notice the pretty waitress? She was rather beautiful... Maybe, maybe...
Oh, you're not even dating him, you lovesick fool!

>>> If he noticed the waitress, he didn't show it. He was only looking at Ava, and barely even spared a glance at the girl.
Aaron looked at Ava expectantly, hoping she'd clue in that human food didn't taste as good to him as vampire food.
These days, he didn't have much of an appetite. And honestly, he didn't really care what he ate. He was still out for Bella.
What did switchers eat anyway?

Oh yeah. Vampire. I forgot.
"Okay, um... I'll have a... Fettucini Alfredo? With, uh, milk?"
The waitress smiled at her and turned toothily to Aaron. "And you, sir?" She batted her eyeelashes and giggled--a blatant form of flirtation that irritated Ava more than it should have.
Vanessa had the perfect hourglass figure, complete with curled brown locks, large amber eyes, and full lips with a perfect Cupid's bow.
Well that's unfair! Ava thought petulantly, She's only human too!

>>> When the waitress---what did she say her name was?---turned to him, Aaron caught a whiff of greasy cheeseburgers. It probably came from the fact that she worked at a diner. Still, she should consider buying some perfume---strong perfume.
"Just a coke, thank you." He replied, politely.
After she left, Aaron turned to Ava. She looked a little agitated; well, actually, she looked like she wanted a rifle, and Aaron had no idea why.
He thought she looked kind of cute like that; and it brought a little teasing smile.
>>> I had fun typing this xD

OOC: Nice
BIC: "What?" Ava said petulantly.
What? What is he smiling at? Is my hair okay? Are my clothes wrinkled? Do I look fine?
Her heart thudded unrhythmically in her chest as she looked up shyly to meet his eyes.
---
There was a slow jingle at the door as a boy held it open for a girl, who took her time walking in.
She was gorgeous. Perfect, cropped platinum blond hair, perfect, angelic face, perfect , odd, violet eyes.
She purred something to the boy, stroked his cheek, and turned to face into the restaurant.
Immediately, her gaze locked on Aaron and Ava. Glare, not gaze.
Her perfect, plump cupid's bow lips turned slightly down in a dissatisfied frown before a fake smile replaced it as she gestured to the hostess for a seat nearby them.

>>> "Ah, it's nothing."
He turned away, but there was still a little smile curved at his lips.
He could hear her heart beat in spastic rhythms. For him, the heartbeats was Aaron's favorite part in a human. His heart didn't beat anymore, even though he was half human.
"Don't start hyperventilating," He teased, when he heard her heart start jumping around again.
Aaron was concentrating on hearing her heart beat over the noise of the diner. He didn't even see Des.
