Drake let the girl fall to the ground, licking the blood off of his teeth and lips. This was the second girl he had killed all week--and this one truly was beautiful. She had platinum blond hair and once-shining blue eyes. Her skin now held a pale pallor, her hair and clothes caked with her own blood.
He was in a craze, caught in bloodlust. He normally watched himself carefully, sure to cover his trail, but here, the area was so populated with vampires it was impossible who to tell who was doing what and what was happening to who. Besides, scarcely anyone knew who he was.
And the scientists back at the lab insisted he go out on daily scouting missions, looking for any creatures that may be helpful for "scientific knowledge and humans alike". Yeah right. They were just masochistic, evil little scheming dudes in white lab coats. Apparently Aaron had been one of them. He must've looked like a faggot.
He kicked the girl to the side carelessly and leaped up on to the rooftop building, eyes glittering. This was fun.

A/N: I was a bit confused on what to do, but since you didn't respond, we can tweak it later. Uh, by the way, I suspect this would be when Jasper-etc. would come knocking.
Elsewhere>>>
For once in her very long life (human and vampire), Sammy was walking through the streets at night, up to nothing sinister at all. She was simply walking. She wasn't even feeding.
Well, that part wasn't true. She fed on some drunk guy in a pub, but he was so wasted and his veins were clogged with so many drugs and crap, that it hardly counted. She didn't even kill him. She just left him on the streets, knocked out, next to his meth storage. The cops would find him the next morning.
Her eyes, a dark scarlet shade, were fixed forward as she walked through the streets.

Ava flew through the streets as a white dove, following the faint scent of blood. The dove in her wanted to fly away from it, but she forced herself to it. With Aaron being distracted with his brother--she had concluded that a while ago, after laying awake at night for a long while--she had taken up to be some sort of vigilante to the streets. Funny that at the same time, the deaths began increasing in the city. One girl had already mysteriously died, found in an alley, this week. It was Tuesday. One AM.
She flew to where the scent was strongest, to where a girl lay in another alleyway. Her beautiful blond hair was splayed and caked with blood. Shocked, Ava shifted back and knelt by her. After several quick seconds of testing, she found she was dead. Goddamn... Too late again! she thought furiously.
Drake watched the girl sharply as she knelt down by his newest kill.
Shapeshifter blood always did have this special tang to it... Hmm... Oh! This was Aaron's little toy... Hm... Even more interesting.
He silently dropped down on the other side of the building and raced around in a flash.
"Is she okay?! My God, no! She's dead! I smelled the blood and--" he blabbered on.
"You're Aaron's brother," Aaron's little shifter said.
"Yeah, but does that matter now? What happened?!" Drake ran over, kneeling by the girl. His quick fingers probed her body in search of "injury" as the girl watched him curiously.
"You're a vampire," she stated.
"Yes," he said, pulling the girl's hair back from her neck. He hissed convincingly. "Did you see a vampire running away from here?" he demanded.
The girl took a deep breath, taking in all the scents around her. "No... There's you... Me... Aaron!" her eyes widened in shock.
She fell for it! Drake crowed, She actually fell for it! Back at the lab, Desdemona had given him a strip of Aaron's old shirt. It was amazing how long a scent could stick.
"He wouldn't do it though!" she insisted, "He never kills!"
Drake took her hand seriously, gazing into her eyes. "You may think you know my brother, but you don't. Whatever you think about him, that's not him. You have no idea how good he is at acting. He's dangerous."
"B-but, he wouldn't! I know he wouldn't!"
"Are you saying I would? Or you would? I'll tell you, sure as hell right now, I don't kill!" Drake said.
Doubt flickered in the girl's eyes, but before she could say a word, which it didn't look line she would any time soon, Drake said, gently, "It's alright. Let's just call the police,"
He pulled out a phone and dialled 911 quickly, murmuring into the phone, never letting go of the girl's hand.

I assumed you "fell asleep" again. I can scratch it up later if necessary.
>>> Slightly intoxicated by the lovely aftertaste of the blood, despite it being from a druggie, it took Sammy longer than usual to realize that the smell of fresh blood was not her imagination. She inhaled deeply, drinking in the delicate scent of spilled blood.
Then, she disapeared in a slightly blur, to locate and pin the source of the aroma. Two figures were already surrounding the body. One, a mesh of human and vampire, was speaking into a phone, for 911. The other, a slightly recognizable girl from school, was a shape shifter.
"Somebody got thirsty." Her sudden appearence could spark suspicion, she realized. But if they were stupid enough to accuse her of killing the dead girl, well, then they were stupid. Her scent was nowhere near, even if her eyes were red.

"We think it was my brother," Drake said in a clipped tone as he hung up with the police. They were due in 3... 2... 1.
Sirens wailed as they pulled up to a stop. "Officer Howe," a gruff man introduced himself.
"This way, sir," Drake pointed to the girl in a harsh whisper, fear lighting his eyes.
